Privacy Policy

Effective date: 25 October 2026 · Last updated: 26 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Hemant Singh ("we", "us", "our"), an independent developer based in India, collects, uses and protects information when you use our mobile apps and games, including Word Games Arena and any other app published by us that links to this page (together, the "Apps"). Some Apps may not use every feature described here; where a section does not apply to an App, that App simply does not collect that information.

1. Information we collect

a. Information you give us

  • Account information – if you choose to sign in (for example with Google, Apple, email or another provider offered in the App), we receive your user ID and, depending on the provider, your name, email address and profile picture. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
  • App content – game progress, scores, settings, usernames and anything else you create or save in the App. This is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore / Realtime Database / Cloud Storage).
  • iCloud sync (Apple devices) – if you are signed in to iCloud, your game progress, solved words and settings are saved to your private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit and iCloud key-value storage) so they carry over to your other devices using the same Apple ID. This data is stored by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; we cannot see it. You can turn it off in Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
  • Support messages – anything you send us by email.

b. Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data – device model, operating system, app version, language, approximate location derived from IP address, screens viewed and in-app events, collected through Firebase Analytics.
  • Crash and performance data – crash logs and diagnostics collected through Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs.
  • Device identifiers – the Android Advertising ID (or Apple IDFA where you allow it) and app instance IDs, used for advertising and analytics as described below.

c. Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing (or Apple's App Store). We receive a confirmation of the purchase (such as an order ID and product purchased) but never see or store your card or payment details.

d. Device permissions

An App may request permissions (for example camera, microphone, notifications or storage) only when a feature needs them. We ask for your consent at the time of use, use the permission only for that feature, and you can turn it off at any time in your device settings.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the Apps, save your progress and sync it across devices.
  • To process purchases and restore them.
  • To understand how the Apps are used and improve them.
  • To detect, investigate and fix crashes, bugs, fraud and abuse.
  • To show advertising that keeps the Apps free (see section 4).
  • To respond to your questions and requests.
  • To comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-party services

We share information only with the service providers that run parts of the Apps for us. Each handles data under its own privacy policy:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a transfer of the Apps to a new owner (who would remain bound by this policy).

4. Advertising

Some Apps show ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID and similar data to show ads and measure their performance.

  • Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before showing personalised ads, using Google's consent tool. You can change your choice from the App's settings.
  • You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads / Privacy > Ads).
  • Ads in Apps or sessions directed at children are never personalised (see section 5).

5. Children's privacy

Some of our Apps are designed for, or may be used by, children. For those Apps, and for any user we know to be a child:

  • We follow the Google Play Families Policy, the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
  • Ads are served only through Google Play Families-certified ad SDKs, are marked as child-directed, and are never personalised; we do not use interest-based advertising or remarketing.
  • We collect only the minimum information needed for the App to work. We do not knowingly collect personal information such as name, email or precise location from children without verifiable parental consent.
  • Signing in is optional and, where required by law (under 13 in the U.S.; under 18 under the DPDP Act in India), requires a parent or guardian's consent.
  • We do not track children's behaviour across other apps or websites.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information without your consent, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data retention and deletion

  • We keep account and app data for as long as your account is active.
  • Deleting your account: you can delete your account and its associated data at any time from inside the App (Settings > Delete account), or by emailing us from the address linked to your account. We delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records by law (for example purchase records).
  • Analytics and crash data are kept in aggregated or pseudonymous form for limited periods set in Google's services (typically up to 14 months for Analytics and 90 days for Crashlytics).
  • Uninstalling an App deletes data stored only on your device, but not data stored in your account.

7. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure, protected by access rules that limit each user to their own data. No method of storage or transfer is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Where data is processed

Our service providers may store and process data on servers outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer data, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and know how it is used;
  • correct or update it;
  • delete it (erasure);
  • withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing before withdrawal);
  • object to or restrict certain processing, and receive your data in a portable format (EEA/UK users);
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf (India);
  • raise a grievance with us, and, if unresolved, complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.

California residents: we do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, other than through ad SDKs you can control with the settings in section 4. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To exercise any right, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above. For significant changes we will also notify you in the App.
